1: Well the Doctor is'nt a normal doctor that's his Renegade Title and more of a name (and also a rank).
2: Well the doctor can regenerate (limited times) and Helen's power was just longevity
3: The Doctor is\was one of many, a Time Lord and they all could regenerate and be immortal. Helen's longevity is vampire longevity and she injected vampire blood in her, but she was'nt a regular vampire in any way, and she was already grown up when she got the vampire longevity. The Doctor was eight years old when he became a time lord.
